Rogers confidant Raheem will stay at LFC

Brendan Rodgers believes Liverpool is the best club for Raheem Sterling at this stage of his career. The Question is does Raheem’s agents also share his view?

Recent Quotes from Brendan Rogers about the Sterling contract talks:

“In terms of Raheem I’m just saying what I think the club are offering. It’s an incredible deal for a young player.

“He’s very, very happy here and you see that in his play. What he has had here is an opportunity to play.

“It’s very important young players have something to strive for. If they get too much too young it can sabotage their development for me. It’s about mapping out the career of a young player.

The fact is the powers that be at Anfield will be keen to seal the deal after securing Philippe Coutinho on a long term contract recently.

The 20-year-old’s representatives, Impact Sports Management, have been in negotiations with Ian Ayre for well over three months to extend a deal that currently runs until 2017

Since then, reports have indicated that the club have offered a new £100,000-a-week deal.

If one thing is for sure and that is Real Madrid and Bayern Munich have an eagle eye on developments at Anfield  and will pounce if conditions are favorable.

BBC Interview with Raheem Sterling

In a candid interview with the BBC’s , Sterling said one of his targets for the remainder of the season was to help Liverpool win the FA Cup.

Raheem goes on to say...

“It’s not about the money at all,” “It’s never been about money. I talk about winning trophies throughout my career. That’s all I talk about.”

“I try to kill it off, but I don’t think the public can see it that way,” Sterling said. “I think they just see it as this 20-year-old boy being greedy.

“I just want to take the time to think about what I’ve achieved in my career so far, where I need to go and what I need to do to get better as a player.”

“I try to just block everything out and do well,” said Sterling, who has 14 England caps.
“Next game is against Arsenal and I want to do my best. I won’t be hiding. As I said, I’m just happy to be playing football.”

@BBCMOTD2 @RedJohnny5 @Dutch Reds Without question Raheem is on his way to be a world class player, and is worth every penny for his services. If he stays and develops with the REDS for the next few years then the footballing world will be his oyster, he could pick and choose his club and price.
