Liverpools 12th Man

News views and more information about the Mighty Reds!

We need plays that can Score!

Liverpool need to find another goal scoring partnership Mangers in the game use this saying, “A team is only as good as the Goal scores they have” I termsof Liverpool Partnerships we have had:

Ian Rush and Kenny Dalglish
Robbie Fowler and Stan Collymore
Kevin Keegan and John Toshack
Michael Owen and Emile Heskey
Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge

Without question some were more successful than others in terms of silverware for the club. Liverpool’s transfer strategy has seen people wanting Rogers out

West Brom Pre-Game Analysis

Last season at the Hawthorns the sides drew 1-1, with Daniel Sturridge's 24th-minute opener being cancelled out by Victor Anichebe midway through the second period.

It is the only Premier League draw between the teams. The Reds have an excellent record at the Hawthorns, however, winning nine of the last 12 fixtures, scoring 29 and conceding eight.

26 of those goals have come in the last 10 visits.

The last time the teams played out a goalless draw at the Hawthorns was in November 1968.

Rogers Stands by His Man

The fact is Steven Gerrard has and will always be Red through and through, even when better options were open to him years ago he stayed firm with Liverpool and our fans. Many are saying the team performs better without him.

“I think it has been really unfair on the boy. This is a guy who has been – and still is – a wonderful player,” said Rodgers.

When he was out injured we had people trying to sensationalize a story as to whether he would get in the team.

Do Agents have too much power?

Should Clubs take back the power from Agents?

What with the recent drama over Sterling and Henderson’s contact talks, would it not be prudent for the club to tie up youth contracts in a way that adds rewards as and when the player achieves his goals.

Impact Sports Management Sterlings agents, have been in negotiations with Ian Ayre for well over three months to extend a deal that currently runs until 2017

Former CEO Rick Parry, said: “ Negotiating player contracts is “getting harder and harder” in modern football “

Samper, 20, the New Ste G?

Steven Gerrard will leave Anfield for LA Galaxy when his contract expires at the end of the season, and Samper could potentially be heading to Anfield as his replacement.

Samper has made four senior appearances under Luis Enrique this season, but reports in Spain claim that he is looking for a change of environment after becoming disillusioned at the Nou Camp.

He jwas part of the Barcalona youth setup in 2001,aged 6,after a successful trial.

On 9 May 2013, he signed a four-year professional deal with Barça.

Hollowed turf rubs me up!

The hollowed Anfield green is rubbing the wrong way says Rogers

Critics included manager Brendan Rodgers Glen Johnson, saying the playing style has been hindered by its poor quality. The new pitch will be a ‘Desso Grassmaster’ pitch made up of 97% Rye grass and 3% artificial fibres. Similar pitches are  in other grounds including Arsenal and Manchester City. An estimated 20 million artificial grass fibres are injected 20cm deep into the ground. The natural grass roots then intertwine with the artificial turf fibres.

@_PaulHayward @redhalf @LFCFrance @SamWallaceIndy @dutchreds The Football Association charge Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel with violent conduct after an incident involving David De Gea at Anfield on Sunday.

Referee Martin Atkinson did not see the incident but three former officials agreed it was a sending-off offence.

The trio made the decision after reviewing footage of the incident.

Unless Skrtel successfully appeals he will receive a three-match ban, ruling him out of Premier League matches at Arsenal (4 April) and at home to Newcastle (April 13), plus the FA Cup quarter-final replay at Blackburn on 8 April.

What about Rooney...Jones ?  do they get off Scot free... ?

@NOT_MOTD Liverpool haven't conceded a Premier League goal away from home in 559 mins. That's 9 hours, 19 mins. A solid Redman defensive unit.
Bring it on 4 the 22nd :-)

@J case We will be fine, the team is playing well at the moment, and with a lot of flare, good to see the attacking style.
